Limitations on the advice we provide:

 We do not provide financial advice on Kiwi Saver and investments.

 Fees and Commissions:

 Both entities earn income through fees and commissions from providers, adjusted based on the complexity and time required for services. Upfront and trail commissions vary depending on the provider and type of product.

Adjustments (including cancellations) to your insurance during the policy period may also incur a fee, which will be indicated on your invoice.

Folio retains a portion of income earnt, for the professional services they provide to GI Wealth Ltd.

Additionally, other fees unrelated to financial advice, such as credit card fees, will be disclosed in our recommendations.

These will be disclosed and communicated to you clearly prior to engaging in any services, then again once a suitable product is recommended to you.

Conflicts of Interest and Incentives:

 When arranging insurance, providers may pay us a commission based on the Company Premium and Natural Disaster premium (if applicable). In cases of policy cancellation, we may retain a portion of the commission from any refund to you.

Referral arrangements may involve us paying a percentage of commissions and/or fees to the referring entity. Referral arrangements may preference advisers between our companies, GI Wealth Ltd and CRP Wealth Ltd. If conflicts of interest arise, we will disclose them and take appropriate action to ensure your interests are prioritised.

Our financial advisers are committed to prioritising your interests above their own, and we maintain a register of conflicts, gifts, and incentives to uphold transparency.

Premium Funding:

Premium funding allows you to pay insurance premiums in instalments instead of a lump sum. Premium funding companies charge interest and may have the authority to cancel your policy for non-payment.

In premium funding arrangements, the funding company pays GI Wealth Ltd a commission based on the funded amount. Folio retains a portion of this commission for services provided to GI Wealth Ltd.

We will disclose the specific amount when determining the scope of advice and your preference for instalment payments.

Complaints Handling & Dispute Resolution:

 At Essential Mortgages & Insurance, we are committed to providing our clients with the best and highest level of customer service. If you are not satisfied with our financial advice service, please let us know your concerns by either:

When we receive a complaint, we will consider it following our internal complaints process:

 

  1. We will consider your complaint and let you know how we intend to resolve it.
  2. We may need to contact you to get further information about your complaint.
  3. We aim to resolve complaints within 5-10 working days of receiving them.
  4. If we can’t, we will contact you within that time to let you know that we need more time to consider your complaint.
  5. We will contact you by phone or email to let you know whether we can resolve your complaint and how we propose to do so.

We have not been subject to a reliability event. A reliability event is something that might materially influence you in deciding whether to seek advice from us.  As an example, it would include legal proceedings against any of our advisers or if anyone had been discharged from bankruptcy in the last four years”

 This statement relates to the personal information that you provide to CRP Wealth Ltd now and in the future. The personal information collected will be held by the adviser business and Essential Mortgages & Insurance to identify services and products that may be suitable for your needs. Essential Mortgages & Insurance can access this information to assist you to provide financial services to you, to administer and service any products you have, to identify other services or products available that may be suitable to your needs, to provide quality control services and to manage complaints.

We may disclose your personal information to other relevant product providers to enable them to assist us to provide financial services to you. You have the right to ask to see and request correction of any personal information our adviser business, product provider and/or Essential Mortgages & Insurance holds about you. Our advisers/there business and Essential Mortgages & Insurance hold information about you securely. If you transfer to another adviser business or we sell my client register, we will transfer the information we hold to the new adviser business or Adviser. Your personal information may be disclosed to auditors. Your personal information may be disclosed to regulators when required under law.
